POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Development Associate role gives exposure to the Payreto staff to understand the deal making and commercial aspects of the business, and at the same time equip him / her with necessary subject matter knowledge to be a strong contributor to Payreto. The experiences that one will derive from fulfilling the responsibilities will enable him / her to attain a key or leadership role in Payreto.
The ideal candidate should have a flexible and agile mindset as he will be confronted with a lot of topics within Payreto. He / she needs to have innate curiosity and display ability and passion to learn complex ideas. The candidate should also aspire to become a subject matter expert as this will be needed in his conversations with C-level executives from different financial institutions across the globe
In this regard, he / she should be extremely engaged in learning about the business of Payreto in a deeper level and be OBSESSED WITH LEARNING IN GENERAL and is ACTION ORIENTED. The opportunity is not for candidates who would like to have an easy job. This opportunity is for anyone who wants to be challenged, grow, and achieve expertise in the financial services space. WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Sales and Marketing:
- Generate leads or contacts for each specific industry Payreto is servicing.
- Create e-mail spiels / approaches / direct marketing content to tap on cold leads.
- Send an intro e-mail and set appointments with leads and partners.
- Nurture a lead from initial contact until they are ready to sign an agreement with Payreto.
- Understand the products and services of Payreto and be able to answer inquiries from C-level executives of the leads or clients.
- Engage in process discussions with leads for service offerings of Payreto.
- Own the sales process and make sure that all inquiries of the leads are properly handled.
- Prepare NDA, broker agreements, contracts.
- Overall sales support of the Business Development team (includes a variety of tasks updating company databases, leads pipeline, etc.)
- Gain understanding on payment as well as financial services topics.
- Manage handover of signed clients from sales to operations.
- Assist in developing presentations, marketing content, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Write Process flows, descriptions relating Payreto’s services.
- Join internal product discussions and presentations as well as external calls with Vendors and clients.
- Provide insights / analysis on products, solutions, services being evaluated.
- Develop a keen sense of understanding about the impact of new products / solutions for Payreto business.
- Display process automation understanding.
- Attend industry functions, events, conferences and provide feedback and information on market and trends
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Engages the client or the clients’ representative (e.g. account manager, operation specialist, process managers etc.) to provide feedback, support, and or implementation of services outsourced to Payreto.
- Offers expert advice to the client, clients’ representative, or the clients’ customers to resolve, remediate, or implement services outsourced to Payreto.
- Participate in the clients’ internal account management calls and meetings to provide overview of the status of processes outsourced to Payreto.
- Proactively engage the client and/or the client customers to provide the best customer experience possible.
- Assist in other ad-hoc topics and projects in business development.
- Perform other official work as instructed by the immediate supervisor/manager.
- Recommend and proactively implement opportunities for increased departmental efficiency.
- Extend work hours when needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, news, and techniques.
WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Legal Management, and Communication
- 1 – 3 yrs experience in selling services or exposure in Payments, software selling
- Must have advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, experience in G Suite (Google)
- Very strong communication verbal and written skills.
- Outstanding cognitive, comprehension, and strong analytical skills
- Proven business acumen and has tenacity to always continue without seeing immediate success (displaying entrepreneurial qualities).
- Proven networker – good at meeting people and exploring potential synergies
- Strong interest in Fintech / Financial Services and KYC
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
