POSITION OVERVIEW

The General Accountant will work closely with the Designated Account (Payreto Client) and will collaborate with the Head of Finance and Account Manager to ensure the accounting operations of the Client will run smoothly and all financial reports are prepared and submitted on time.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Update client and Payreto reports and/or dashboards.
  • Update the team's knowledge base when necessary.
  • Manage all accounting transactions such as but not limited to payroll functions, financial statements, accounts payable, basic job cost, account analysis, accruals, year-end audits.
  • Prepare budget forecasts.
  • Publish financial statements in time.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
  • Assist in any kind of audit engagement (internal control, external, SOX, etc.).
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Other Tasks

  • Suggest process improvements.
  • Assist in ad hoc work assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  • Extend work hours when needed.

WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any equivalent degree.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 5 years’ experience in the same role or equivalent from a BPO or shared-service environment catering to the Financial or Banking Industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • excellent English proficiency both verbal and written.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
