POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the VP for Finance and People Administration to ensure the accounting operations will run smoothly and financial reports are prepared on time. He/she will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the client’s organization, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and implementing accounting principles.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact, delivering tailored accounting solutions, managing budget and financial forecasts, and delivering financial insights to enhance performance and maintain strong client relationships.
Financial Controlling: Coordinates with auditors, tax authorities, and other government agencies to ensure compliance; implements and updates financial policies, controls, and risk management procedures; and provides proactive tax advice while assisting in enhancing financial policies.
Process Management: Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in financial processes, then design and execute improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency, working alongside cross-functional teams to optimize finance-related workflows.
Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with both external and internal personnel to execute functions, and liaise with banks for payroll account openings, updates, and transactions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and assist the head of Finance and Accounting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
People Management: Develops strategies to reach goals and provide necessary training for team members, ensuring clear communication of roles, responsibilities, and development of needs. Maintains an open channel for feedback, suggestions, and concerns while overseeing day-to-day operations to guarantee tasks are completed on time, with precision, and without rework.

Finance and Accounting:
- Reviews disbursements, supplier invoices, contracts and agreements.
- Prepares bank reconciliation.
- Reconciles intercompany transactions.
- Manages the recording and inventory of the multiple-client’s Fixed Assets.
- Initiates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books. Prepare and analyze management accounts.
- Prepares supporting records and audit schedules.
- Updates the bookkeeping and recording of transactions, maintenance, and review of general ledger.
- Reviews timesheets for payroll processing. Prepares and process payroll.
WHAT SHOULD YOU HAVE?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Solid knowledge of general accounting.
